A lovely first visit to Bleaberry – what a beautiful house, it has everything a family of 6 could want. The views are something else. We have all had great fun walking the fells, some wild swimming & watching the wildlife.

Well, the glorious weather turned for the worse – got soaked on several occasions. However, still managed to conquer Helvellyn (in the fog), Skiddaw, Cat Bells, Maiden Moor, High Spy, and many more lower peaks – slept very well!

Great cottage & view to die for. Some sun, some rain, but great time!
Great spot, balcony looking over comb beck, mountains in distance, forest backdrop just past beck.
Only sound was water rolling down beck 24 7.
Bedrooms were comfortable, as was lounge with log burner.
Kitchen well equipped. Constant hot water. It was a pity bathroom was downstairs, but shower and bath were nice, very nice all round.

Perfect for our family break. So peaceful The sound of the water running at the bottom of the garden was charming. Our puppy thoroughly enjoyed a brisk dip!
P.S. WiFi connection most helpful for the kids.

We had a wonderful week at Comb Beck.
It was a treat to be able to eat breakfast on the balcony overlooking the beck – though the fabulous weather played its part too!
Whinlatter Forest is on the doorstep, with surprisingly varied walks and views.
The Village Shop in Braithwaite is excellent, open until 9pm in the summer.

Great cottage in a fantastic location.
Perfect for walkers, mountain-bikers, those just wanting peace and quiet.
Near to Keswick for all that it has to offer and pubs reasonably close by too.
Also dog-friendly and perfect for walking the dog from the door.

Lovely cottage well located for walks starting from the front door.
Short drive to Keswick or Cockermouth and full range of shops.
Good kitchen and large lounge.
Overall big enough for four large adults.
Fine attic provided a second ‘quiet’ living room for reading etc.
It was snowing outside whilst we were there, but the rooms easily warmed by good central heating.
Would recommend, and return again.

Really enjoyed our stay at Comb beck, very comfortable and clean, attic room was a real bonus for the children.
All slept very well, cottage warm and cosy, good supply of wood on arrival we spent the New Year here and had a great time from the door walking into Whinlatter Forest, visiting Keswick, Cockermouth, Workington.
We wanted a relaxing holiday break which we got.
The real Christmas tree and chocolates warmly appreciated.
Comb Beck is an excellent base for walkers and cyclists.

We’ve had a lovely homely and comfortable stay in your lovely cottage.
Steep stairs to access the apartment and small limited kitchen. Otherwise excellent, clean and comfortable. Good location for walks from the door and close to Keswick.

Great overall stay
The accommodation was very clean and the bed was very comfortable, just what you need after a good walk. The owners were very welcoming and they had all the essentials in their small shop. The only down side was that it is on a camp site and the toilet block is just underneath the apartment so can be quite noisy at times in the evening, other than that it was a great stay and would go back again.

A midweek trip to do some walking in the area
A lovely first floor apartment on a quiet farm that also has a campsite, perfect for a couple or single person. The building is clearly quite old, but has been modernised and decorated sympathetically. Lanefoot Farm is located very close to the main A66, so access is easy to Keswick, Borrowdale and further afield. Parking for one car is right outside the front of the building.
Be aware that ceilings are sloping in parts of the apartment with a low beam at the back of the kitchen area, but this adds to the charm!

Excellent, as always
We love staying here, back soon hopefully.

We really enjoyed our stay. The loft was clean and well-equipped with easy wi-fi access. We were happy to be a bit outside of Keswick but still close to the shops.

Comfy bed, cosy accommodation and helpful host
Impressive cleanliness, Very useful shop on site and library of local walks and rainy day reading. Shower could be cramped for larger visitors and headroom limited one one side of (well equiped) kitchen took a little getting used to. But plenty of space in all other areas and good value for money.

We loved this accommodation
It was a great spot to stay. Perfect for a couple. Gareth was very friendly and helpful. Would love to stay again.
Brilliant site in Keswick near all the hills you would care to climb and a few minutes drive into Keswick itself. In walking distance of Whinlatter Forest, up steepish bridleway, with its trails for walking and cycling or a couple of minutes in the car. Quiet site with enclosing hedges to keep the breeze to a minimum. Loved the fact you can have a campfire- brilliant for warming after a long walk and of course for your marshmallows! Enough showers, toilets and washing up facilities so we were never kept waiting long (this was over the Bank Holiday so no mean feat!) Owners were polite and helpful when needed, with good knowledge of area and routes, but with no interference when not. Little shop on site had emergency stocks if needed and excellently priced wood for your fire. Plenty of space round each pitch so never felt on top of anyone else and because of the different levels you were not sitting next to others. This is a beautiful site in a beautiful area where I am sure we will return to.

When I come camping to the lakes, I am determined to come here.
Cannot describe how beautiful this place is.
Open all year with showers wash sinks and a little country shop.
This place is the best and nothing beats ending the day with a beer and a cracking campfire while staring at the stars.

Great farm campsite
Just back from 5 nights here, it’s a million times better than the big Club sites that we’ve stayed in, the facilities are limited but just enough for this nice small site. Perfect location 5 minutes drive from Keswick. They are also really casual about the size of your pitch which for us was perfect. The kids loved the sheep, lambs and chickens on the site. Also great walks from the site.

Loved every second of it 😊
21st August 2018
Nice camping. It’s also a farm, with chickens and sheep nearby. Facilities are clean and good. Close to Keswick.

Rustic traditional campsite
Just come back from a lovely stay at this site had two nights with mixed weather. Ten minute walk from two pubs and shops. Limited showers and toilets but clean and tidy anyway. Let you have open fires and the owners are friendly. Well worth a short or long stay in my opinion

One of the best campsites in the lakes. Very freindly and nice an welcoming. Top marks.

Ideal location for visiting the lakes
have been staying at this campsite for a number of years and has everything me and my son need, especially being able to have a camp fire

Lovely family friendly campsite. Reasonably priced and different glamping, camping and motorhome pitches available. Close to Keswick and Whinlatter a prefect family spot
