The Campsite Layout
The Campsite has 2 main fields, which are both approximately 2 acres in size. The larger Open Field has been divided by a fence and hedge, with tents to the top and caravans below.
The Meadow Field
The Meadow Field has some mature tree screening, and is divided by the meadow flowers and grasses which grow there.
This is where our camping Pods and The Shepherds’ Hut are situated, with views of the fells in every direction. From Skiddaw to the Helvellyn range, round to Barrow, Seat How and Barf.

The Open Field
The Open Field is divided by a native species mixed hedgerow, which we planted about 5 years ago. It divides the caravan pitches from the camping field. The caravan pitches are at the bottom of the field, and the camping field is at the top . The camping field is a good size, and has a parking area at either side, where campers can park their cars.
The camping field has uninterrupted views of Skiddaw, Seat How and Barf. It is a great place to sit out in the evening with a campfire, watching the sun setting behind the north western fells.
