Camping Pods

The Pods are already set up on site – just bring all your camping gear, but leave the tent behind!

Avoid the adverse effects of driving rain, or the chore of drying out a wet tent when you get home!  The Pods are very well insulated, and the roof is made of a special material designed to cut down the noise of heavy rain.

They are warm and dry, with lights and heating included.

Please remember to bring your own bedding and cooking equipment to all our camping Pods.

Mattresses are only provided in our Family Plus Pods.

Facilities & Features

  • The walls are insulated with sheeps wool
  • Double-glazed window and doors, to reduce condensation and provide some sound proofing
  • Small high level window at the back to provide light and allow ventilation
  • Carpeted inside
  • Electric light and two power sockets
  • A small oil-filled electric radiator
  • Lockable french doors
  • Wooden deck
  • Family Plus Pods also have:
  • 2 single bed platforms with mattresses
  • Double mattress
  • Electric sockets with USB charging points

General Information

  • Dogs: We do allow dogs in our Pods, provided they are not left unattended. Please keep your dog on a lead whilst on site.
  • Camp Fires: Cooking and naked flames are strictly not permitted in the Pods. We do allow campfires on site, and these are permitted a safe distance away from the Pods. We have kiln-dried wood available to purchase, and fire containers to loan.
  • Arrival: Our camping pods will be ready from 2pm on the day of arrival. Please do not arrive early as your camping pod may not be ready for you.
  • Departure: Camping pods must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure
  • Payment: To confirm a booking we require payment of the balance in full at the time of booking.
Pod Sizes & Capacity
  • The standard camping pods at Lanefoot Farm Campsite are suitable for two adults to sleep comfortably. The internal floor space is: 2.7 metres by 2.1 metres.
  • The Family camping pod at Lanefoot Farm Campsite is suitable for 1 or 2 adults with 1, 2 or 3 children to sleep comfortably. It is NOT suitable for FOUR adults. The internal floor space is: 3.5 metres by 2.3 metres
  • The Family Plus Pods at Lanefoot Farm Campsite have the same internal space as the Family camping Pod, but they have two single bed platforms with mattresses and a double mattress to lay down at the back of the Pod. They are suitable for 1 or 2 adults with 1, 2 or 3 children.
  • ’Binsey’ and ‘Little Dodd’ are standard camping Pods (no mattresses)
  • ’Grisedale’ is an original Family camping Pod (no mattresses)
  • ’Barrow’ and ‘Whinlatter’ are the Family Plus Pods (mattresses included)
